Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy for algomastery.dev. It explains what data this site collects, why, and how to control it. Last updated 22 April 2026.
1 · Who we are
This site — algomastery.dev — is operated by the AlgoMastery team. For any privacy-related correspondence, email privacy@algomastery.dev, or use the contact form and select the "Feedback" topic. We are the controller for the personal data collected on this site.
2 · What we collect
We deliberately collect as little personal data as possible. The categories are:
- Server logs — URL, time, HTTP status, referrer, approximate region (from IP), user agent. Kept up to 30 days for operations and abuse prevention.
- Cookies set by advertising partners — principally Google AdSense. See section 4.
- Contact-form submissions — the form opens your own email client with a pre-filled message. Once received, stored under the retention rules in section 8.
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address and subscription date. That's all.
We do not collect: names, addresses, phone numbers, payment information, demographic attributes, or any sensitive data. There is no login system.
3 · Cookies
Three kinds of cookies may be set on algomastery.dev: strictly necessary (none at present), functional (none at present), and advertising (set by Google AdSense when it serves ads — see next section).
You can block or delete cookies via your browser. Blocking advertising cookies will not prevent ads appearing; it will make them less relevant.
4 · Google AdSense
Advertising is served by Google AdSense. Google may set cookies that enable personalised advertising based on prior visits. In particular:
- Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of third-party personalised advertising industry-wide at www.aboutads.info.
- For full details see Google's advertising policies.
We do not control what data Google collects through its advertising cookies. We receive only aggregate performance reports (impressions, clicks, revenue) — never individual user data.
5 · Analytics
We currently use a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics provider that measures aggregate traffic without identifying individual visitors. If this changes, this section will be updated before the change takes effect.
6 · Data processors
We use a small number of third-party services: hosting/CDN (serves the static site), email provider (delivers contact replies), Google AdSense (serves ads), analytics provider (cookieless).
7 · Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the data we hold about you: access, correction, erasure, portability, objection to processing, restriction. To exercise any of these, email privacy@algomastery.dev. We respond within 30 days. In the EU/EEA and UK you may lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority; in California, the CCPA/CPRA grants similar rights which we honour regardless of location.
8 · Retention
Server logs: 30 days. Contact-form replies: kept during active correspondence; archived for up to 2 years, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe (immediate, deletion within 30 days). Advertising cookie data: governed by Google's policies.
9 · Children
AlgoMastery is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10 · Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, post a prominent notice on the homepage for at least 14 days.
11 · Contact
For privacy questions, email privacy@algomastery.dev. For general questions, use the contact form.
